 NO IMPACT

No installation required

By working at the network level, Pluribus One Internet Security® does not require any software agent to be installed on the endpoints. Consequently, the service can monitor and protect any device connected to the network, including mobile devices and hosts with outdated operating systems that need to be kept up for business continuity needs.

PRIVACY

GDPR Compliant

Pluribus One Internet Security® complies with all current provisions on Privacy. The service was designed from the beginning to meet and comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which nowadays represents, in the international scenario, the most important legislation for the protection of personal data and privacy of citizens.

100% Made in Italy

Pluribus One Internet Security® was fully conceived, designed and developed in Italy by an Italian company that has its legal and operational headquarters in Europe. The servers and data, necessary for the the service to properly work, are entirely located in Italy.
Pluribus One strongly respects the privacy of its customers, considering it a cornerstone of the digital world. With this goal, the company enables its customers to do the same with their third parties (their customers or employees). This is the reason why the company designs algorithms that avoid logging and tracking sensitive information when detecting cyber threats.

CLEAN

Stop Malware

Malware (malicious software) is a widespread form of cyber-attack, carried out through the use of malicious code. There are several typologies of malware: cryptominers, viruses, worms, spyware, adware and ransomware (this last one works by limiting access to the device it infects, requiring a ransom to be paid to remove such limitation).
Common malware objectives include theft of information, credentials or identities, espionage and service disruption. According to the ENISA Threat Landscape 2020 report, in the last year, 400000 spyware and adware pre-installed on mobile devices were detected. Other relevant data, enabling malware sizing in the global landscape, shows a growing trend:
1) 13% increase in Windows malware detections at business endpoints globally;
2) 71% of organizations experienced malware activity that spread from one employee to another;
3) 50% increase in malware designed to stealpersonal data or stalkerware;
4) 67% of malware was delivered via encryptedHTTPS connections.
While the global economic damage caused by malware is difficult to quantify, ENISA estimates that in 2019, companies lost 10 billion euros due to paid ransoms and accidents (e.g. the WannaCry case) caused by ransomware.

Pluribus One Internet Security® helps keeping the Internet safe and clean, offers constant monitoring of malicious domains and IPs, thanks to its constantly updated blacklists, and protects against more than 450000 sites that potentially convey Malware.

SAFE

Stop Phishing & Scam

Phishing is a type of digital scam that aims to steal data, credentials, money and information on users' credit cards, using visual tricks or targeted Social Engineering techniques.
This type of attack is usually launched from illicit websites that visually emulate well-known official sites, or via e-mail messages, apparently sent from a reputable source, that try to persuade the victim to open a malicious attachment file or follow a fraudulent URL.

Similarly, Scam is a type of deception often carried out exploiting social engineering techniques, which aims to lure the victims, often creating a bond of trust, and finally inducing them once again to send information or money (generally the digital Scam finds fertile ground in social networks through fake profiles, in anonymous chats, and in dating sites and chats).
According to the ENISA Threat Landscape 2020 report, in the last year, Phishing caused € 26.2 billion of losses to companies globally. Furthermore, Phishing has increased by 662% due to the situation triggered by Covid-19.

Pluribus One Internet Security® helps keeping the Internet safe and clean, offers constant monitoring of malicious domains and IPs, thanks to its constantly updated blacklists, and protects against more than 450000 sites that potentially host computer frauds, Phishing, Scam or Social Engineering.

FAST

Fast DNS and stop Ads

By using the DNS provided by Pluribus One Internet Security®, an exceptional browsing speed is guaranteed, without slowdowns and obstacles.
A service based on the most modern cloud technologies, the fact being the Pluribus One servers hosted within a modern datacenter provided with ultra-fast internet connections, the fact of being geographically close due to the server being hosted in Italy, ensure an extremely low latency in DNS resolutions and thus a browsing experience tremendously fluid.
In addition to the peculiar speed of the DNS provided, fast browsing is also facilitated by the fact that the service blocks and hides several banners and unwanted advertisements that usually slow down and clog web pages during web navigation.
This is because Pluribus One Internet Security®, offering constant monitoring of malicious or suspicious domains and IPs, also operates by blocking more than 40000 domains of unwanted advertising (which is not necessarily malicious).

WE HAVE ONLY ONE WORLDWW. KEEP IT CLEAN

What is DNS?

DNS (acronym for Domain Name System), is the system used on the Internet, with which an alphanumeric string is associated with an IP address (a “sequence” of numbers that allows a user to reach a device connected to the network). This string is called FQDN (Fully-Qualified Domain Name) and is more easily memorized by users, if compared to a numerical sequence. It is, with a good approximation, the string that users type in the browser address search bar, when they want to visit a website.

The entered string (FQDN) must be translated into an IP address to allow the user to reach the website: this is possible thanks to the DNS infrastructure, of which DNS servers are an essential component. To get a good web experience and to browse fast, DNS servers must offer high performance and low response times.

Fast browsing is one of the most common reasons why web users decide to change their browsing settings, using third-party DNS. But alongside this motivation, some problems related to IT security also push to set different DNS from those given by the Internet provider.

DNS and IT security

Several types of malware exploit the DNS service to make it chellenging to identify C&C (Command-and-Control) servers directly under the control of the botmaster. For example, techniques such as Domain Fluxing and IP Fluxing are frequently used for this purpose. An analysis of the domains generated by the hosts can therefore allow  identifying the presence, within the network, of machines infected by malware.

In phishing campaigns and fraud attempts, attackers usually register Internet domains that the user can easily confuse with legitimate domains (because they are similar, for example, to those of a well-known brand). This is to increase the probability of success of the attack. Also in this case, DNS monitoring allows to promptly identify attack attempts and, through blocking actions, significantly reduce the probability of success of the attack.

Pluribus One Internet Security®, operating directly at the DNS level, works by blocking in advance malicious domains and IPs, thus protecting against several types of cyber threats such as malware, ransomware, phishing and scam.
